About the role:

​

  • Provide expert mortgage and protection advice and guidance to all customers

  • Conduct comprehensive consultations with customers to understand their situation and overall goals

  • Ensure that you are identifying your client’s needs and offering advice and products that best suits their requirements

  • Stay updated on mortgage market trends, interest rates and lending policies

  • Educate your customers on mortgage-related terminology, processes and potential risks to help them make an informed decision

  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with clients to foster trust and loyalty, encouraging repeat business and referrals

  • Assess clients' financial status, including income, expenses, assets, and liabilities, to determine their borrowing capacity and eligibility for various mortgage products

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to explain complex financial concepts in a clear and understandable manner

  • Continuous development of a client bank and maximising opportunities ensuring profitable relationships are built

  • Commercial awareness: Maintain and update knowledge of regulations, practices and financial products

 

To be considered for the role you must:

​

  • be a successful Self-Employed Mortgage and Protection Adviser

  • Hold CeMAP or similar industry-recognised qualification

  • At least 24 months whole-of-market experience

  • Have your own client bank

  • You must be able to pass the fit and proper assessment

  • You must have no panel exclusions

  • Have a consistent track record of achieving your goals within your current role

  • Be proactive and self-motivated

  • A passion for achieving a fantastic customer experience.

  • Willingness to learn and adapt to market and developer needs

  • Proven use of mortgage-specific software

  • Full driving licence

  • You are legally entitled to live and work in the UK in accordance to the Immigration, Asylum and Nationality Act 2006. (Please Note: you will need to provide evidence of your right to work in the UK via proof of address, identity and NI prior to a formal offer of employment).
